Ho frequentato un corso di Cyberitalian nel maggio 2009 e l’ho trovato molto utile. Mi piace l’idea di lavorare on-line alla mia comodità avendo la flessibilità di muovermi al mio ritmo attraverso la materia divertente and innovativa. CyberItalian mescola l’apprendimento della lingua con la storia, la cultura, le canzoni e la fantasia. I am happy to introduce to you Maura Garau, founder of Cyberitalian.com a site that helps people learn and practice the Italian language and learn about Italian culture. I took a course through Cyberitalian in May of 2009 and found it to be very helpful. I like the idea of working online at my convenience and having the flexibility to move at my own pace through the interesting and entertaining material. CyberItalian mixes language learning with history, culture, songs, and lots of imagination. Maura provides you with several methods of study: Self-study, tutored courses, private lessons, and Italian Coaching programs.

Grazie per l’invito a scrivere sul tuo Blog e a raccontarvi un po’ di me e di CyberItalian. Mi piace molto l’entusiasmo che hai per la lingua italiana e in generale per la vita: irradia dal tuo Blog spontaneo e vivace!
Nella vita è bellissimo avere dei progetti in cui possiamo creare un servizio per gli altri ed allo stesso tempo esprimere il nostro entusiasmo e le nostre passioni.
In life, it is wonderful to have projects that we can create that are helpful to others while at the same time express our own enthusiasm and passion.
Per me CyberItalian rappresenta tutto questo. Non solo mi dà l’occasione per essere di aiuto a chi vuole imparare la lingua e la cultura italiana, ma mi offre anche l’opportunità di esprimere le mie passioni. Mi spiego meglio: sono una persona eclettica e molto idealista. Ho sempre avuto una grande passione per l’arte, la filosofia, la psicologia e le discipline del benessere oltre che per la lingua e la comunicazione. Insegno italiano da più di 20 anni, ma non mi considero solo un’insegnante. Piuttosto mi ritengo una ‘visionaria’ che ama prendere per mano i propri studenti e portarli attraverso dei percorsi di crescita.
For me CyberItalian represents all of this. It not only gives me the chance to be helpful to those who wish to learn Italian and know more about Italian culture, but it gives me the chance to express my passions. Let me explain better: I am an eclectic idealistic person. In addition to language and communication, I have always had a great appreciation for art, philosophy, psychology, and holistic health. I have taught Italian for more than 20 years, but I never just considered myself a language teacher. Rather I feel I am a visionary who loves to take her students by the hand and introduce them to new ways of learning and growth.
Su CyberItalian ho creato molti corsi per l’apprendimento della lingua e della cultura italiana: e tutti questi corsi includono sia gli aspetti linguistici che riflessioni sulla “crescita personale”, un fattore fondamentale in qualsiasi processo d’apprendimento.
Through CyberItalian I have created many course and methods for the learning of the Italian language: all these courses include both linguistics and methods for personal growth, a fundamental factor in the learning process.

Nella nostra vita siamo spesso ‘oppressi’ dallo stress, dalla mancanza di tempo per noi stessi, dalle crisi economiche, ecc…Attraverso CyberItalian ho voluto creare per i miei studenti uno spazio in cui fare una ‘pausa’ (anche per questo motivo non ospitiamo pubblicità sul sito) e uno spazio in cui sperimentare qualità umanistica e ripensare alla propria vita.
In our lives we must deal with stress, the lack of time, the economic crisis ecc…Through CyberItalian I wanted to create for my students a space in which they could take a break (also for this reason I do not invite publicity or ads on my site) a space in which students may experience humanistic qualities and rethink their own lives.
Il Programma di Coaching, ‘Your Renaissance’, si basa sul ‘promuovere un rinascimento personale’ attraverso l’analisi di capolavori di artisti eccezionali e attraverso l’esplorazione delle proprie dinamiche di vita.
The Coaching Program, ‘Your Renaissance’, is based on “promoting your personal renaissance” through the analysis of masterpieces created by great artists and through the exploration of the dynamics of their lives.
Il Programma di Coaching, ‘The Opera of Love’, desidera mostrare quanto l’opera sia uno spettacolo multimediale moderno e vicino a noi, e come le tematiche più profonde dell’amore e delle relazioni siano trattate in questi capolavori. E’ un bellissimo programma per acquisire familiarità con l’opera e per esplorare il nostro concetto di amore e relazione.
The Coaching Program, ‘The Opera of Love’, will explore how the opera is a multimedia and modern show and how the deeper themes of love and relationships are dealt with in these masterpieces. It is a wonderful tool to become familiar with opera and to explore our concepts of love and relationships.
Il Programma di Coaching, ‘Life the Italian Way’, desidera raccontare aspetti essenziali della vita e della cultura degli italiani attraverso l’analisi di film e attraverso l’analisi del proprio stile di vita a confronto con quello degli italiani.
The Coaching Program, ‘Life the Italian Way’, will explore essential aspects of life and culture through film and the analysis of the Italian life style.
Naturalmente, tutti i percorsi richiedono che chi li fa sia disposto a ‘camminare’ e partecipare. Se uno è pronto a ‘praticare senza paura’ e immergersi in un percorso italiano linguistico e umanistico allora lo invito a provare CyberItalian.
Naturally all these methods require that those who participate will “walk the walk” and get involved. If you are ready to “practice with out fear” and immerse yourself in the new linguistic and humanistic way to learn Italian you are ready to try CyberItalian.
In ogni modo, raccomando a tutti l’unico grande segreto per diventare bravi in qualsiasi disciplina, a prescindere da quale corso uno scelga: praticare, praticare, praticare.
At any rate, I recommend to everyone the only big secret to learn any subject, regardless of the type, of course, we choose: practice, practice, practice.
