L’ho condiviso con la mia amica Marta e ci ha ispirato di preparare questo dolce spettacolare. Abbiamo seguito il video passo dopo passo e il risultato del nostro Fiore Brioche alla Nutella … beh, in effetti … sorprendentemente fantastico! È stato davvero molto facile da preparare e adesso dopo meno di dodici ore la famiglia l’ha completamente consumato ed è l’ora di farne un altro!

Nutella Pasty Star. Want to know how to prepare one? The other day I saw this super cute youtube video showing how to make a Fiore Brioche alla Nutella – Braided Nutella Star Bread. I showed it to my friend Marta and it inspired us to try our hand at making this delicious-looking dessert. We followed the video step by step and our Braided Nutella Star Bread turned out … well, actually … surprisingly great! It was really very easy to make and now after less than 12 hours the family has totally devoured it and it is time to make another one!

I wanted to include the original video that we used to create the brioche in this post, but searching the internet today I find that it has been removed from Youtube. What a shame! Luckily for you all, we took pictures of our steps to make the Fiore di Pan Brioche alla Nutella and we are pleased to share them with you. Ecco le ricette per fare il brioche in inglese (Life’s a Feast) e in Italiano (Giallo Zafferano)

Here are the recipes to make the brioche in English (Life’s a Feast) and Italian (Giallo Zafferano)

Ingredienti in inglese per preparare l’impasto:

For the sponge:
½ cup (2.25 oz/65 g) bread flour or all-purpose
1 ¼ tsps (5 g) instant yeast
½ cup (4 oz/125 ml) whole milk, lukewarm/tepid

For the dough:
3 large eggs, lightly beaten
3 cups (13.75 oz/390 g) all-purpose flour
3 Tbs sugar
1 ¼ tsps salt
½ cup (4 oz/114 g) unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled to warm
1-2 teaspoons milk, if necessary to form a smooth dough

For the filling and glaze: Nutella

Prepare the sponge: stir together the flour and yeast in a large bowl (or the bowl of your stand mixer). Pour in the warm milk and whisk the ingredients together until all of the flour is hydrated. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rise 30 – 45 minutes.

Prepare the dough: add the eggs to the sponge and whisk (or beat on medium speed with the paddle attachment) until smooth. In a separate bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, and salt. Add this mixture to the sponge and eggs and stir. Mix in the softened butter. Add in a couple of teaspoons of milk if the dough is too dry. Knead the dough for about 8 – 10 minutes until the dough is soft and smooth.  Form the dough into a ball, cover, let rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.
