L’altro giorno ho visto questo video su Facebook e praticamente è caduto dalla mia sedia ridere. Mi è piaciuto così tanto che ho voluto condividerlo sul blog. La canzone è di Lorenzo Baglioni, un insegnante di matematica diventato un autore comico. Ha trasformato la sua passione per l’insegnamento degli adolescenti al liceo per istruirli su argomenti di insegnamento complessi attraverso la commedia e il canto. Questo video si concentra su come utilizzare correttamente il tempo congiuntivo italiano.
The other day I saw this video on Facebook and practically fell off my chair laughing. I loved it so much that I wanted to share it on the blog. The song is by Lorenzo Baglioni, a math teacher turned comedian songwriter. He’s turned his passion for teaching teenagers in high school to now coaching them on complex didactic subjects through comedy and song. This video focuses on how to use the Italian subjunctive tense properly.

Però qualche volta po’ essere difficile da ricordare come e quando da usarlo……e si scopre che è difficile non solo per gli studenti di lingua straniera, ma anche per gli italiani!
I’m joking…kind of! The subjunctive mood is a particular time to the Italian language, but I really like it. It is used to express desires and feelings. But sometimes it might be difficult for foreigners to remember how and when to use it…and it turns out it is difficult not only for foreign language students but also for Italians!

Il congiuntivo è un modo di diverse lingue, comprese l’italiano e le altre lingue romanze, la cui funzione basilare è quella di indicare un evento soggettivo, irreale, non sicuro, ipotetico o non rilevante. Rispetto all’indicativo che esprime il piano oggettivo della realtà, il congiuntivo sottolinea invece la dimensione soggettiva, individuale:
