L’estate scorsa ho scoperto l’app LyricsTraining. Una delle studentesse che mi ha accompagnato in Italia per partecipare nel mio language program lì, me la ha mostrata. Che divertimento! Sedute sul retro del mini van, dopo una gita a Perugia, abbiamo giocato e abbiamo cantanto tutta la strada fino a casa a Montepulciano.
Last summer, I discovered the app LyricsTraining. One of the students in my Italian language programs showed it to me. What fun we had, seated in the back of the van after a day trip to Perugia, playing and singing the whole way back home to Montepulciano.
In quel momento, ho fatto una nota mentale di scrivere un post del argomento più tardi, ma con tutte le attività, bere vino e fare la pasta… l’idea mi ha fugito. Almeno fino a poco tempo fa, quando un’altra amica mi ha fatto ricordare l’app.
At the time, I made a mental note to write a post about it later, but with all our activities, drinking wine and making pasta… I kind of forgot about it. That is until recently when another friend reminded me of the app.

How it works.
Il programma LyricsTraining è disponibile in molte lingue diverse e può essere giocato sul tuo Smart phone or computer. Il gioco di apprendimento attinge a migliaia di canzoni popolari trovate su Youtube, quindi troverai sicuramente I tuoi cantante e generi musicali preferiti nel menu.
The LyricsTraining program is available for many different languages and can be played on your Smart Phone or computer. The learning game draws upon thousands of popular songs found on Youtube, so you are sure to find your favorite singers and music genres in the search menu.
La musica stimola l’apprendimento e la memorizzazione in modo naturale. È come quando eravamo bambini! Non potrai impederti di cantare mentre ascolti le canzoni e segue I testi.
Music stimulates learning and memorization naturally. It is just like when we were kids! You will not be able to keep yourself from singing along while you listen to the songs and follow the lyrics,
Il concetto è semplice e facile. Scarica l’app o vai al sito web, fai un cli sul brano/video preferito e seleziona la modalità: principiante, intermedio o avanzata e talvolta esperto. La canzone inizia e ti viene chiesto di riempire le parole mancanti.
The concept is simple. Not much to it. Download the app or go to the website, click on the song/video of choice, and select Beginner, intermediate, or advanced and sometimes expert mode. The song begins, and you are asked to fill in the missing words.
Sul computer, digiti le parole mancanti negli spazi vuoti.
On the computer, you type the missing words to songs.
Sul tuo telefono, selezioni le parole in un formato a scelta multipla.
On your smart device, you select words in a multiple-choice format.
C’è anche una modalità karaoke e puoi cantare insieme il cantante ed esercitarti ad alta voce.
There is also a karaoke mode, and you can sing along with the singer and practice the words out loud.
Mentre avanzi, il programma ricorda il nuovo vocabolario che stai imparando. Man mano che migliori, aumente anche il tuo punteggio e sali ad altri livelli. Puoi anche competere con altri student in tutto il mondo che stanno giocando alla stessa canzone, quindi c’è un senso di competizione e un incentivo per mantenere la tua striscia vincente partecipando ogni giorno.
As you progress, the program keeps track of the vocabulary you learn. As you improve, so does your score, and you move up in levels. You can also compete with others around the globe who are working on the same song as you — so there is a sense of competition and an incentive to keep up your learning streak by participating every day.
