Buon Capodanno! 2020! Youtube Video

Ciao a tutti! È la vigilia di un nuovo anno — Capodanno. Addio duemiladiciannove! Benvenuto duemilaventi! Come potete vedere sto già festeggiando con un bicchiere di prosecco. Stasera uscirò con gli amici per cenare insieme e poi guarderemo i fuochi d’artificio sul lago vicino.

It’s the eve of a new year — in Italian – capodanno. Goodbye 2019! Welcome 2020. As you can see, I’m already celebrating with a glass of prosecco. This evening I will go out with friends to dine together and then we will watch the fireworks over the lake nearby.

A questo punto dell’anno — poche ore prima di mezza notte — mi sento sempre un po’ la nostalgia. Sembra che la vita vada troppo veloce e ancora una volta stiamo per girare un’altra pagina per cominciare un nuovo capitolo.

At this time of the year — just a few hours before midnight — I always feel a little nostalgic. It seems that life is racing a head and once again we are about to turn the page and begin a new chapter.

Mentre le ultime ore del duemiladiciannove si spariscono, mi rallento, mi fermo e riprendo fiato e rifletto sulla mia vita, sulla mia famiglia, sulle cose che ho realizzato e sulle cose che spero di fare nel nuovo anno. Duemiladiciannove è stato pieno di sorprese, alti e bassi, e colpi di scena. Infatti mi sono trasferita da un posto in cui avevo vissuto per vent’anni a uno stato completamente nuovo e diverso – Texas!

As the final hours of 2019 disappear, I slow down, and pause and take a breath and reflect on my life, my family, and about the things I accomplished during the year and the things I hope to do in the new year. 2019 was full of surprises, highs and lows and twists and turns. Infact, I moved from a place I’d lived for twenty years to a completely new state — Texas!

Ho pubblicato il terzo romanzo ambientato in Italia “Eternally Artemisia” e ho tradotto il secondo libro “Waking Isabella” in Italiano – “Il risveglio di Isabella.”

I published my third novel set in Italy “Eternally Artemisia” and I translated my second book “Waking Isabella” into Italia — “Il risveglio di Isabella.”

Nel duemiladiciannove come al solito, ho passato molto tempo in Italia — ad Arezzo e a Montepulciano. Ormai sembrano “casa dolce casa” e per me molto familiare vivere in questi posti. Ho conosciuto tanta gente e ho passato tempo prezioso con gli amici italiani. Senza dubbio il momento migliore dell’anno è stato presentare il mio romanzo appena tradotto a un pubblico italiano nel centro storico di Arezzo, dove si svolge il libro. Non lo dimenticherò mai e gli amici che hanno lavorato per realizzare quel sogno.

In 2019 as per usual, I spent a lot of time in Italy — in Arezzo and Montepulciano. By now it seems “home sweet” home living in these places. I met many people and I spent valuable time with Italian friends. Without a doubt the best moment of the year was presenting my newly translated novel to an Italian audience in the historic city center of Arezzo where the book takes place. I will never forget it or the friends who worked so hard to realize this dream.

Potrebbe avere un nuovo “look”, ma ogni settimana offro sempre lo stesso ottimo contenuto. Sì! Duemiladiciannove è stato un buon anno… ma penso che duemilaventi sarà ancora migliore. Come quest’anno sarà pieno di sorprese, alti basi e colpi di scena. Non si sa mai che è dietro l’angolo o dove finiremo… ma se andiamo in avanti insieme, pieni di buoni propositi e attitudine positive… tutto è possibile.

Yep! 2019 was a great year… but I think 2020 will be even better. Like this year it will be full of surprises, highs and lows and twists and turns. You never know what is around the corner or where will end up… but if we go ahead, full of good intentions and positive attitudes… anything is possible.
