The closest airport is Verona (45-minute drive away), served by a number of airlines including British Airways, EasyJet, Monarch, Alitalia, and Lufthansa.
Things to do and see in Trento. In and around Trento there is much to do. In Trento, the season changes are very marked. In winter you can take beautiful walks in the snow to end with a pleasant warm meal in a shelter; in summer it is hot and you can swim and sunbathe on the banks of the lakes.

A little bit about Maria your homestay teacher. Maria has been hosting foreign students in her home in Trento since 2013. She lives five minutes from the city center, right behind the Buonconsiglio Castello. Her son, now in university often visits, and she has lots of friends who visit often who share her interests in Art, Cinema, Literature and Hikes in Nature.
Accommodations & Location: Maria’s house is large and airy, and airconditioned— her students will feel quite relaxed in her home. Guests will stay in a twin or double room with a private bathroom. The apartment is spacious and comfortable and guests are encouraged to share the living room and the kitchen with the family.
Maria’s Homestay Includes Three hours of Italian lessons every day and all learning materials, nearby excursions, visits to wineries, cinema and museum tickets, overnight accommodation with full board, cleaning of your bedroom and bathroom once a week, laundry once a week, wi-fi.
One day trip to Verona or Mantua.
Trips and excursions in the beautiful surroundings of Trento (lago di Garda, lago di Caldaro, Castel Toblino, Castel Beseno, Castel Thun, Dolomites, Bolzano, Merano, Arte Sella, etc).
Transport to and from Verona’s airport and Maria’s time every day, except for one free afternoon.
Additional costs:
One day trips to Venice or Milan: €100 per person (One-day trip fees include: return journey, visits the most typical landmarks of the town, museum tickets, and audio-guides, transport and lunches.)
Maria’s Homestay Study Program: Programmes are open to individual adults and couples, who want to master the Italian language at a beginner, intermediate or advanced level. The stay and schedule will be agreed in advance and tailored to individual needs and interests. A typical day will start with breakfast and a two or three-hour lesson in the morning. Lunch is usually followed by excursions in Trento and the surrounding area. Participants will continue speaking Italian outside the apartment, practicing their newly acquired skills with the people they meet and share views on what they see and do. Italian film viewings at home or cinema nights can be organized in the evenings.
Maria will provide students with well-organized lessons tailored to each student’s level, and designed to their personal interests, and what each student wants to get out of their one-on-one lessons with Maria. Lessons will also be organized around events going on in Trento during a student’s visit and could involve special art exhibitions, concerts, local wine, and food tastings, as well as other sports and cultural events. In this way, you will be able to practice conversation while at the same time deepening your understanding of Italian grammar.
The goal of the Homestay is always the progress in the language and the complete and constant linguistic and cultural immersion in the Italian environment. With Maria as your teacher and guide, you will live the vita Italiana and improve your Italian language skills.
