Welcome Home to Treviglio: Treviglio is a town in northern Italy, in the Lombardy region. It’s located about 40 km (25 miles) east of Milan and about 20 km (12 miles) south of Bergamo. It’s well connected by train, making it easy to reach both Milan and Bergamo.

Treviglio is a lively, authentic town with a historic center full of shops, markets, artisans, and people who still know each other by name. It is in a strategic location, easily reached by train from Milan, Bergamo, Brescia, and Verona, yet it preserves the genuine and intimate atmosphere of a local community.
It’s the perfect starting point to explore Lombardy… or simply to stop, slow down, and learn Italian in everyday life.
Meet Chiara!
Chiara is a certified (CEDILS) teacher of Italian for foreigners, born and raised in Bergamo. After a meaningful experience in Canada, where she began teaching Italian by chance (and by destiny), she realized that the best way to learn a language is by living it in everyday life, step by step.
When she returned to Italy, she developed her own personal method that combines motivation, emotion, and strategy, valuing each student as a unique individual. Her lessons are never standardized: they are built around the interests, desires, and pace of those who want to learn with ease, curiosity, and a spirit of discovery. With Chiara, learning Italian becomes natural, fun, and full of surprises.
Meet Chiara’s Family
Chiara lives in Treviglio in her original family home and offers a true warm and welcoming Italian homestay experience.
Chiara has a 9-year-old daughter Camilla, who is a little “teacher in the making,” always eager to play board games with students, filling the house with her joy, chatter, and impromptu dances. Her teenage son Tommaso, 14, is often busy with school and basketball, but he occasionally joins in the fun. Chiara’s husband Luca, an engineer who often travels for work, brings a special touch to family life when he is home, delighting everyone with his talent in the kitchen, preparing delicious risottos and homemade pasta.
On the ground floor lives Grandma Mary, an energetic and kind 83-year-old, who will happily accompany you for a coffee in the center of town or take you along to the market with her friends. Together, this family is the heart and soul of the house, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere where you’ll immediately feel at home.

What to Expect from Chiara’s Homestay Language Course

What to Expect from Chiara’s Language Course:
Lessons take place in Chiara’s home, a beautifully renovated old farmhouse just a short walk from the center of Treviglio. The spacious open-plan kitchen and living room, filled with light thanks to large windows, is the heart of the lessons—a welcoming and inspiring space, perfect for learning naturally and with ease.
In addition to lessons at home, Chiara offers personalized experiences, planned together before your arrival, that make each stay truly unique. You might spend a day exploring Milan, Bergamo, Brescia, Crema, Verona, Monte Isola, or Crespi d’Adda, or try your hand at a jewelry workshop with a local goldsmith where you can create your own piece while speaking Italian. There are also opportunities for cooking or sewing classes, visits to wineries and farms, leisurely walks or bike rides, flower and fruit picking, and relaxing days with a hairdresser or beautician.
Shopping in the town’s boutiques and taking part in creative activities like painting or hands-on workshops are also part of the experience. Every activity is designed to immerse you in the language through real-life situations—learning in an authentic and natural way by speaking, listening, and living Italian.
