Welcome to Sesto Fiorentino—your peaceful home base just 5 km from Florence. Nestled at the foot of Monte Morello and surrounded by nature, olive trees, and ancient paths, Sesto is the perfect blend of quiet village life and easy access to the artistic heart of Tuscany. Here you’ll feel completely immersed in authentic Italian language and culture while enjoying the tranquility of a true local community.
Sesto Fiorentino is a strategic gateway to Tuscany. Exceptionally well connected to Florence Airport, the main train station, and major highways, it offers the ideal starting point for day trips, cultural outings, and vineyard explorations. From Etruscan archaeological treasures such as the impressive Tomba della Montagnola, to the Medici Villa Petraia—one of the most beautiful and historic villas in the region—Sesto is rich with history and beauty at every corner.
And yet, Florence is only minutes away. In just 15 minutes by train or car, you can be in the center of the Renaissance city—strolling through elegant boutiques, visiting world-class museums, savoring an aperitivo on a rooftop terrace overlooking the Duomo, or enjoying a night of theater, opera, or music. Sesto offers the perfect rhythm: peaceful mornings in nature, vibrant afternoons or evenings in Florence, and countless opportunities to learn Italian by living it.
