Valeria’s passion for languages led her to earn degrees in Modern Languages and Cultures and Modern Philology from the University of Tuscia in Viterbo—a stunning historic town with the largest medieval center in Europe.

During her studies, she discovered a deep interest in teaching Italian to foreigners, which inspired her to obtain the DITALS II-level certification, officially qualifying her to teach Italian as a foreign language.

Over the course of her career, Valeria has taught at several private language schools and completed the advanced ITALS II-level Master’s program at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.

In addition to teaching Italian language and culture, she also prepares students for the CILS and PLIDA exams, and actively collaborates in the organization and administration of official language exams.

With Valeria, learning Italian isn’t just a course—it’s a living experience.

Valeria loves to smile at life and believes that our differences are what make us truly special, opening up new opportunities for growth and success.

Originally from Rome, a city she returns to almost every month, Valeria now lives in Viareggio, a beautiful seaside town in Tuscany, best known for its vibrant and colorful Carnival.

Her life is filled with the affection of her family—and her tireless dog Giotto, who follows her wherever she goes.

In-person lessons are held in Viareggio and nearby locations such as Lido di Camaiore and Lucca, with the possibility of arranging itinerant lessons in the Eternal City—Rome.

Before beginning the course, Valeria offers a free introductory meeting to get to know each student’s needs and to define goals and expectations together.

When she’s not teaching or preparing her lessons, Valeria enjoys practicing yoga and reading. In addition to her love for languages and cultures, she’s passionate about sports, travel, music, and finding inspiration in art in all its forms.

Valeria is a certified Italian language teacher with over a decade of experience in teaching Italian language and culture to international learners. She holds degrees in Modern Languages and Cultures and Modern Philology, and brings both academic depth and a passion for real-world communication to every lesson.

After founding Easy Italian Online, Valeria expanded her offerings to include in-person lessons in Viareggio and the beautiful Versilia region. Her goal is to provide learners with an authentic, immersive experience that goes beyond the classroom and into daily Italian life.

Her lessons are perfect for students, professionals, and Italian enthusiasts of all ages who wish to strengthen their language skills for study, work, or personal enjoyment.

VALERIA’S TEACHING METHOD: Italian as a Living Language

Valeria’s approach is practical, communicative, and flexible.
Each lesson focuses on developing all language skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—with particular emphasis on using Italian in real-life situations and within the context of Italian culture.

Her in-person lessons are often on the move, offering students the chance to experience authentic, place-based learning. Students can take part in unique, hands-on experiences such as:

• Traditional Italian cooking classes, learning how to prepare classic regional dishes.
• Wine tastings at small, local vineyards native to the area
• Workshops exploring local herbs and spices

Hi everyone! I’m Martha, and I’ve just completed an incredible and wonderful in-person course with Valeria. For three weeks, we did something different every day. For example, one day we went to a small vineyard where all the wines are natural. We toured the vineyard, then tasted four wines along with many snacks—olives, sun-dried tomatoes, marinated artichokes, bruschetta, and cheeses. Fantastic!
