Sei giorni a Natale! Le feste sono nell’aria!
Six Days Until Christmas! The Holidays Are in the Air!
Manca meno di una settimana a Natale!
The Countdown Begins!
Mancano solo sei giorni a Natale! Siete pronti?
“There are only six days left until Christmas! Are you ready?”
Ogni anno addobbiamo l’albero e allestiamo il presepe. Fuori, la casa brilla di luci scintillanti. Preparo dolci e biscotti natalizi—a volontà! Mangiamo tanto, andiamo alle feste e invitiamo anche i nostri amici a casa nostra.
Every year, we put up the tree and set up the nativity scene. Outside, the house sparkles with twinkling lights. I bake sweets and holiday cookies—lots of them! We eat a lot, go to parties, and also host our friends at our home.

È tradizione mandare i miei biglietti di auguri
Sending Holiday Cards Is My Tradition
Every year I send holiday cards to all my friends to share how my kids have grown over the year. It’s my way of staying in touch with the important people in my life. And you, my readers, are all my friends… so here’s a special card for you!
Vi aggiornerò presto sulle feste… intanto continuiamo il conto alla rovescia per la vigilia! Divertitevi e godetevi il weekend!
I’ll update you soon on the holiday festivities… in the meantime, let’s keep counting down to Christmas Eve! Have fun and enjoy the weekend!

Wonderful photo of the entire clan! Even the dogs! Blessings on all of you.
When I was a kid, back in the Ice Age, all Italians were Catholic so, therefore we all abstained from eating meat the day before Christmas. My mother always made a special fish soup for that evening meal. We usually had the clan at our house so all of the aunts, uncles and cousins celebrated with us. We had a houseful, bursting at the seams. That was the night our tree was trimmed and the festivities began.
I send my best to your family and wish all your blogsters a Merry Christmas. Love you, my dear, Marianne Ricci-Wilson (Zingara)
