Matta Italian Language Tip!

A Little Italian Goes A Long Way
HOW SMALL EXPRESSIONS CAN MAKE YOUR
ITALIAN SOUND BEAUTIFULLY ALIVE.

In a new blog post on the http://StudentessaMatta.com Italian Language Learning website check out the lastest post about fun Italian expressions and Idioms.

Learn these expressions mean:

Mettere una pietra sopra

Non chiedere pere a un olmo

Andare a rotoli

Non dire gatto se non ce l’hai nel sacco

Non essere uno stinco di santo

Idioms and common expressions are colorful ways to add a bit of zing to your Italian conversations.

But first, try to understand them in their cultural context. At first, they may not make perfect sense, but that’s part of the fun. When you begin “unpacking” their meanings, you start rubbing elbows with Italian culture, humor, and mentality.

The trick is not to memorize a hundred expressions at once. Choose two or three and try using them naturally during the week. Little by little, they’ll become part of your Italian… and one day, without even thinking, you’ll surprise yourself casually saying:

NE SONO CAPITATE DI TUTTI I COLORI!
ALL KINDS OF CRAZY THINGS HAPPENED!
