Claudia vive a pochi chilometri da Desenzano e viene da te ogni mattina dopo colazione per iniziare le lezioni. L’idea Matta è sempre la stessa: impari la lingua, poi la usi subito—al mercato, al bar, sul traghetto, in biglietteria.
Claudia lives just a few kilometers away and comes to you each morning after breakfast for your lessons. The Matta idea stays the same: you learn the language, then use it immediately—at the market, at the bar, on the ferry, at the ticket office.
È certificata per insegnare italiano agli stranieri (LOTE all’Università del New South Wales a Sydney + DITALS I all’Università per Stranieri di Siena) e ha insegnato a persone di ogni nazionalità—anche lavorando con equipaggi internazionali e poi con adulti a Sydney (tra cui Co.as.it e l’Istituto Italiano di Cultura).
She’s certified to teach Italian to foreigners (LOTE at the University of New South Wales in Sydney + DITALS I from the University for Foreigners of Siena) and has taught learners from all over the world—first with international cruise ship crews, then with adults in Sydney (including Co.as.it and the Italian Cultural Institute).

In English, we use “to visit” for everything: a friend, a city, a museum, a whole country. In Italian, visitare is more specific—it’s mainly for places and attractions (museums, monuments, cities you “tour”). When it comes to people, Italians usually choose different verbs.

visitare = visit a place (museum, site, city, exhibit, doctor or dentist)
