With my friends and colleagues Giovanni and Benedetta, it is now possible to stay in the heart of the renaissance city, the city of the Medicis, of Michelangelo, and of Dante Alighieri. In fact, you will stay just a few steps away from the birthplace of the famous poet!
La coppia, entrambi insegnanti d’italiano certificati, ed i loro due gatti vi accoglieranno nella loro casa, proprio in Piazza S. Croce, una delle più belle e storiche piazze nel centro medievale, situata nei pressi di Piazza della Signoria, il Museo degli Uffizi e il Ponte Vecchio. Penserete certo di stare ancora sognando quando vedrete dalla vostra camera, la famosa chiesa francescana di Santa Croce, che domina la piazza. All’interno della chiesa si trovano l’opera di Giotto e le tombe di alcuni degli italiani più illustri, come Galileo Galilei, Michelangelo Buonarroti e Lorenzo Ghiberti.
The couple, both certified Italian teachers and their two sweet cats will welcome you in their home, right in Piazza S. Croce, one of the most beautiful and historical squares of the medieval city center, located near Piazza della Signoria, the Uffizi Museum, and the Ponte Vecchio. You will think you are dreaming when gazing out your window and see the famous Franciscan church of Santa Croce that dominates the square. Inside the church, you will find works by Giotti and the tombs of some of the most illustrious Italians, like Galileo Galilei, Michelangelo Buonarroti, and Lorenzo Ghiberti.
Firenze è famosa per la sua storia, ma è anche una città moderna e multiculturale, con i suoi musei, teatri, eventi culturali come “il calcio storico”, vecchi mercati, giardini nascosti e offre diversi tipi di attrazioni culturali. Il modo migliore per scoprire tutti gli aspetti nascosti di questa città incredibile, è di essere guidati dai fiorentini, come Giovanni e Benedetta.
Florence is famous for its history but it is also a modern and multicultural city, with its museums, theaters, cultural events like the “calcio storico”, old markets, hidden gardens and offers many different kinds of cultural attractions. The best way to discover all the hidden aspects of this incredible town, is to be guided by a native Florentines like Giovanni and Benedetta!

That’s why Giovanni and Benedetta, who are both tour guides and certified Italian teachers, will get you involved in many activities, showing you Florence, as only a native Florentine knows it and giving you the chance to experience real Italian life. Cooking is one of the basics of Italian culture and one of the best activities to share time together. With Giovanni and Benedetta you will learn how to make fresh pasta, parmigiana, ragù, the Florentine “ribollita” and “pappa al pomodoro” and many other Italian recipes!
Giovanni e Benedetta offrono Homestay Language Vacations di minimo una settimana e a massimo un mese. Le lezioni possono essere organizzate in base alle preferenze degli studenti, ad esempio 4 ore al giorno dal lunedì al venerdì, durante il soggiorno, o tre volte a settimana. Incluso nel prezzo del Homestay c’è anche una lezione di cucina e diverse escursioni intorno alla città ed alla campagna toscana.
Giovanni & Benedetta offer Homestay Language Vacations for a minimum of 1 week and a maximum of 1 month. Lessons can be organized according to the student’s preference, for example, 4 hours a day Monday – Friday during the entire Homestay experience, or 3 times a week. Included in the price of the Homestay are cooking classes and several excursions around the city and Tuscan countryside.
