Da un po’ ho sentito parlare del podcast Coffee Break Italiano e recentemente ho deciso di dare un’occhiata al podcast dedicato all’apprendimento dell’italiano. Non mi ha deluso invece sono rimasta piacevolmente sorpresa! L’ho trovato molto divertente e un modo interessante per rafforzare le abilità linguistiche.
For some time, I’ve heard about the Coffee Break Italiano, and recently, I decided to take a closer look at the podcast dedicated to learning Italian. I was not disappointed, but rather pleasantly surprised and not disappointed. I found it to be quite enjoyable and an interesting way to strengthen language skills.
Coffee Break Italiano si compone di due stagione di quaranta audio lezioni. Stagione 1 è per i principianti assoluti, e Stagione 2 è per livello medio. Ogni podcast è costituito da un dialogo con conduttori scozzesi e madrelingua italiani. Le conversazioni vengono poi suddivise frase per frase mentre il conduttori principale, si chiama Mark (il cui accento italiano è abbastanza buono) demistifica allegramente ed efficacemente nuove parole e costruzioni grammaticali. Ogni podcast diventa sempre più avanzato e si basa su quelli precedenti.
Coffee Break Italiano consists of two seasons of forty audio lessons. Season 1 is for Absolute Beginners, and Season 2 is for Intermediate language students. Each podcast consists of a dialogue with the Scottish hosts and Italian native language speakers. The conversations are then broken down sentence by sentence as the primary host, Mark (whose Italian accent is quite good) cheerfully and effectively demystifies new words and grammar constructions. Each podcast becomes increasingly more advanced and builds upon the previous ones.

Io ho trovato i podcast divertenti e ben fatti e registrati. Alla fine di ogni puntata, penso che avrete una conoscenza buona di ciò che stanno dicendo gli oratori. Vi ricorderete anche ciò che averte appreso attraverso i vari riassunti del dialogo.
I found the podcasts to be entertaining and well produced. By the end of each session, I think you will have a reasonably good grasp of what the speakers are saying. You will also retain what you have learned through the various recaps of the dialogue.

The Podcasts are FREE, which is great! Each is about 15-20 minutes—the perfect Coffee Break length. You can access them on the Coffee Break website, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, and Spotify. I listen to the podcasts on Spotify. They popped up on my suggested listening feed, and I couldn’t turn it down. I’ve been demoing the series as I go for walks around the neighborhood.
Consiglio Coffee Break Italian agli studenti che hanno appena iniziato a studiare la lingua e agli studenti al livello intermedio che vorrebbe rispolverare nuovo vocabolario e aggiornare le strutture grammaticali. I recommend Coffee Break Italian to very beginning students just starting out learning the language and intermediate students who would like to brush up on new vocabulary and refresh grammar structures. Also, take note, you don’t have to start from the very beginning of each season. As some of the material may be too basic for some students, so as not to be bored, I’d recommend that you jump ahead several episodes to a point where you can gain the most benefit.
