Stacy è cresciuta in una famiglia italo-americana. All’inizio ha dato per scontato il suo patrimonio italiano, ma più recentemente ha scoperto il vero significato delle radici italiane. Adesso lei abbraccia la sua italianalità con tutto il suo cuore. Adesso viaggiare in Italia e l’apprendimento della lingua la aiuta a fare una connessione con il bel paese; le dà gioia e la tiene nutrita.
Hi guys! Today I want to direct you to my friend Stacy di Anna’s page. She writes the blog “Prayers & Piazzas” in which she talks about two of her passions, her family (the “prayers” part of the blog) and her love for Italy (the “piazzas” part of the blog). Stacy grew up in a big Italian-American family. When she was young, she took her Italian heritage for granted, but more recently she has come to appreciate her Italian roots and now embraces her “Italian-ness” wholeheartedly. Now traveling in Italy and learning Italian helps her stay reconnected to “il bel paese”; it gives her joy and keeps her nourished.
Stacy ed io ci siamo conosciute attraverso internet. Una curiosità… siamo quasi vicini di casa! Entrambe noi abitiamo in California – lei a San Diego, la parte meridionale dello stato ed io a San Francisco, la parte settentrionale dello. Abbiamo in programma di incontrarci di persona uno di questi giorni, ma visto che siamo così appassionate dell’Italia, sembra che a questo punto sia più probabile che ci incontriamo in Italia prima che possiamo trovarci nella California!
Stacy and I met through the internet, and curiously we are almost neighbors! We both live in California – she is in San Diego, the southern part of the state, and I am in San Francisco the northern part of the state. We have plans to meet in person one of these days, but since we are both so passionate about Italy, it seems that at this point it is more likely that we will meet in Italy before we can meet here in California.
Al momento Stacy è una mamma perdutamente occupata. Con tutte le attività primaverili dei tre figli, non trova il tempo per concentrasi, almeno quanto vorrebbe, sul blog. Così mi ha contattato per chiedermi se io volevo scrivere un guest post. Ho accettato volentieri! At the moment Stacy is a head over heels, busy mom. With all her kids’ spring activities she can’t find the time to focus, as much as she would like, on her blog.
