Announcing the September 2020
Matta Italian Language Immersion program.

Insert drum roll….

We are going back to Lucca!

Torniamo a Lucca!

It’s been a while since I spent some time in the lovely Tuscan town of Lucca and it’s high time I returned to see all the friends who live there. I’m looking forward to studying and hanging out once again at Lucca Italian school with Daniela, Eva, Angelo, Antonella, Suzanna… and so many others like Fabrizio at the hotel where we will stay, and my dear friend Francesca!

My friends and teachers at Lucca Italian School in Lucca and I are planning an exciting language and cultural program in the delightful town situated west of Florence and near to Pisa.

Highlights of the 2020 program will include participation in a cooking class with Eva, wine tasting, and even an excursion to a chocolate factory. We will discover all Lucca has to offer, as well as visit neighboring attractions such as Villa Reale and the towns of Volterra and Bolgheri. We will also unleash our inner artists with a casual art lesson with Suzanna.

There will also be wine tastings, guided walking tours of the city to see artisan shops and churches, as well as free time to shop and even bike the walls of Lucca. Most evening meals are programmed but there are also several free choice evenings as well. You will have formal class time as well as unlimited Italian conversation practice with me, my Italian friends, and the teachers who accompany us throughout the program.
