Have you ever played the I spy game?
Si tratta di un semplice gioco in cui un giocatore “la spia” sceglie un oggetto a vista o in una foto e annuncia agli altri giocatori che “Io spio con il mio piccolo occhio, qualcosa che inizia con la lettera_____ e poi nomina la prima lettera dell’oggetto. Gli altri giocatori poi tentano di indovinare questo oggetto. Quando un giocatore identifica correttamente l’oggetto diventa la spia per il prossimo round e i giochi ricominciano.
It’s a simple game in which one player “the spy” chooses an object within sight or in a picture and announces to the other players that “I spy with my little eye, something beginning with the letter ____” and then he names the first letter of the object. The other players then attempt to guess this object. When a player correctly identifies the object they become the spy for the next round and the game starts again.
Il gioco di “I spy” è un gioco di ragionamento intelligente e aiuta i bambini e gli adulti ad imparare a diventare più attenti al mondo che li circonda. Notiamo colori, forme e texture e usiamo logica e ragionamento per trarre conclusioni.
The “I spy game” is a clever reasoning game and helps kids and grownups alike to learn to become more observant about the world around them. We notice colors, shapes, and textures and use logic and reasoning to draw conclusions.
Nonostante la sua semplicità e ripetitività, il gioco aiuta i bambini ad espandere il loro vocabolario. Giocavo a questo gioco innumerevoli volte con i miei figli. C’era una serie di libri che avremmo letto prima di andare a letto e avremmo fatto a turno scegliendo le cose che avevamo spiato con il nostro piccolo occhio. Questo bel ricordo che condivido con i miei figli, mi ha fatto pensare che il “I Spy Game” sarebbe un ottimo modo anche per gli studenti di lingua italiana per ottenere più “curioso” con la lingua e consentire loro di imparare più vocabolario.
Despite its simplicity and repetitiveness, the game helps young children expand their vocabulary. I used to play this game countless times with my kids. There was a series of books that we would read before going to bed and we would take turns picking out things we had spied with our little eye. This lovely memory I share with my kids, got me thinking that the “I Spy Game” would be a great way also for Italian language learners to get more “curious” with the language and allow them to learn more vocabulary.
Quindi, visto che manca solo una settimana a Natale, ho pensato che sarebbe stato divertente giocare al “I Spy Game” con voi per aiutare ad aumentare il nostro vocabolario italiano!
So, as Christmas is just a week away, I thought it would
be fun to play the “I Spy Game” with you using two photos of Christmas objects to help increase our Italian vocabulary!
