Sansepolcro è un gioiello nel cuore dell’Italia, nascosto nella regione toscana. È una città medievale che risale al XI secolo, e camminare semplicemente attraverso le sue porte e le sue stradine è come fare un passo indietro nel tempo. A differenza di alcuni luoghi turistici più frequentati in Italia, Sansepolcro offre un’autentica esperienza italiana dove è possibile interagire con la gente del posto amichevole, esplorare i mercati e immergersi nella vita quotidiana di una città toscana per eccellenza.
Sansepolcro is a gem in the heart of Italy, tucked away in the Tuscan region. It is a medieval town that dates back to the 11th century, and simply walking through its gates and wandering down its narrow streets is like taking a step back in time. Unlike some more trod-upon touristy spots in Italy, Sansepolcro offers an authentic Italian experience where you can interact with friendly locals, explore the markets and immerse yourself in the daily life of a quintessential Tuscan town.
La città è in posizione strategica ed è un’ottima base per esplorare altre benconosciute destinazioni toscane come Arezzo, Cortona e Anghiari. Ho scritto tanto su Arezzo così ormai saprai che è la casa della Giostra del Saracino, e Cortona ha un museo etrusco favoloso. Anghiari è conosciuta soprattutto per un dipinto che Leonardo da Vinci iniziò ma non ha finito mai a Palazzo Vecchio a Firenze nella Battaglia di Anghiari.
The town is strategically located and is a great base to explore other renowned Tuscan destinations like Arezzo, Cortona, and Anghiari. I’ve written much about Arezzo, so you will know by now it is the home of the Giostra del Saracino, and Cortona has a fabulous Etruscan museum. Anghiari is known best known for a painting that Leonardo da Vinci began but never finished in the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence of the Battle of Anghiari.

Sansepolcro è una cittadina sonnolenta, circondata da dolci colline, uliveti e vigneti e la sua principale rivendicazione di fama è che è il luogo di nascita di Piero della Francesca che era un Rockstar del mondo dell’arte rinascimentale, unendo matematica, arte e prospettiva, porre le basi per tutto il lavoro doveva giungere a buon fine durante la rinascita dell’arte classica in Italia.
Sansepolcro is a sleepy little town surrounded by rolling hills, olive groves, and vineyards, and its main claim to fame is that it is the birthplace of Piero della Francesca, who was a rockstar of the Renaissance art world, blending math, art, and perspective, laying the groundwork for all the was to come to fruition during the rebirth of classical art in Italy.

With a brush in his hand and a twinkle in his eye,

Born in Sansepolcro, a quaint lil’ town,
Piero’s art fame spread all around.
From frescoes to portraits, his style was unique,
Mixing geometry and light in a painting technique.

L’appartamento è arredato con gusto in toni rilassanti, con tocchi di colore sontuosi nell’opera d’arte. È possibile ascoltare jazz sullo stereo sorseggiando cocktail che si creano nel bar cucina immacolata. Con camera oscuramento sfumature, le camere sono confortevoli, e le docce sono da morire. Lussuoso ed elegante, non si vuole nulla! L’appartamento vanta un ampio ingresso, cucina ben arredata e zona pranzo, soggiorno, camera da letto principale con bagno privato, camera da letto per gli ospiti e bagno privato e armadi.
The apartment is tastefully decorated in soothing tones, with lavish touches of color in the artwork. You can listen to jazz on the stereo while sipping cocktails that you whip up in the immaculate kitchen bar. With room darkening shades, the bedrooms are comfortable, and the showers are to die for. Luxurious and elegant, you will not want for anything! The apartment boasts a large entryway, well-appointed kitchen and dining areas, living room, primary bedroom with private bathroom, guest bedroom, and private bathroom and storage cabinets.

You can shop at nearby markets, enjoy neighborhood cafes, and become a temporary community member. If you get the urge, head out in your car to visit surrounding towns and then return to your private sanctuary in Sansepolcro and enjoy the sounds of the silence of a small town.
